The History of MineCore

The history of MineCore goes back to when Minecraft1415926 started working with Minecraft servers in June 2012. History will continue and will be added to this page as MineCore continues to grow and improve over time.

June 2012

In June of 2012, Minecraft1415926 had gotten Minecraft about a month ago (in May of 2012). He was interested in making a Minecraft server to play the game with some friends. The first server ever was vanilla Minecraft in version 1.2.5. It was a world that was played in using both game modes. Minecraft1415926 originally planned for the server to be completely survival.

July 2012

In July of 2012, Minecraft1415926 continued his 2 game mode vanilla server. He did a lot of cheating with his friends and they took items from creative mode a lot. The server was starting to get worse and needed improvement.

August 2012

In August of 2012, Minecraft1415926 updated the server to version 1.3. This added many more features but the server still wasn't good. Finally, at the end of the month Minecraft1415926 decided that it was time to upgrade the server to CraftBukkit, an open-source vanilla replacement that added support for server mods (plugins) to enhance gameplay and add new features without requiring client mods.

September 2012

In September of 2012, Minecraft1415926 was starting to have problems with the computer that he was using for his server. It was an old DELL desktop computer with 3GB RAM and an Intel Core 2 processor. It was too slow for the server and Minecraft1415926 could clearly notice that. He wanted to get another computer. During this month, he got a new ASUS laptop with 4GB RAM and an Intel Core i5. This computer was even worse because it overheated  easily and it had a bad graphics card meaning that Minecraft1415926 couldn't play Minecraft on it. He still wanted another computer, a desktop PC that was even faster and more suitable for the server.

October 2012

In October of 2012, Minecraft1415926 decided that he was going to start over his server entirely. He was going to have a new world with CraftBukkit plugins (mods) and lots of new stuff. He planned to release this server in version 1.4.

November 2012

In November of 2012, Minecraft1415926 still couldn't get the new computer and did not host the server.

December 2012

In December of 2012, Minecraft1415926 was getting closer to getting the new computer. He was annoyed that it was taking so long and he did not host the server during this month.

January 2013

In January of 2013, Minecraft1415926 was able to order the new computer and it arrived 3 days later. He set it up soon after receiving it and started using it and got everything set up.

February 2013

In February of 2013, Minecraft1415926 still couldn't get the server ready. The release of Minecraft 1.5 was approaching and he decided to host his server after it was released. The new computer still showed much better performance with 16GB RAM, 8 Core i7 processor, NVidia GeForce GT 620 GPU, and a 2TB SATA HDD @ 5400rpm. This was also Minecraft1415926's birthday month. His birthday was on the 23rd. He was hoping to have the server up by then but it was a lot more work than he thought then.

March 2013

In March of 2013, Minecraft1415926 was getting much closer to hosting the server. The release of Minecraft 1.5 came out and he started working on the server. Things were changed and the server idea was ready. Minecraft1415926 was also planning to develop his own plugins (mods) to use for the server. He first hosted the server on March 24th 2013. Players first joined the server and it was finally starting.

April 2013

In April of 2013 the server continued and a lot was accomplished. Activity started decreasing as April approached it's end.

May 2013

In this month, the server activity (number of players) decreased excessively threatening to cause the end of the server. Minecraft1415926 almost permanently shut down the server due to this catastrophe. The server, however, was put back up again. It will continue to stay online (at least for now) even if there are no players. Hopefully something good would happen soon.

June 2013

MineCore ended due to inactivity. It will no longer be hosted but was made available for download. If anyone else wishes to continue MineCore they may host it. If you wish to make this size the website of it please email to minecraft1415926@gmail.com. History on this page will not continue beyond June 2013.
