MineCore Download

With the end of MineCore, the entire server, all of it's world files, plugin files, and everything else used to run the server are now available for download. You are free to do whatever you want with these files as they are released in the public domain. I do not believe these files are worth anything to me anymore but instead of deleting them, I believe I can make it of use to someone else. If you are interested here are the instructions to download MineCore:

Note: The download is in 10 parts of the file (190MB per file). Unfortunately MediaFire limits file size to 200MB when you use it for free.
  1. Go to http://www.mediafire.com/?78d8kbh5p8z7v
  2. Download all the files in there. Each file will begin with minecore.zip and end with a dot and then a number.
  3. Save all 10 files in the same folder.
  4. Open minecore.zip.001 with 7-Zip
  5. You can now view all of the files.
  6. Extract them and do whatever you want with them.
  7. Have fun (hopefully) and host it again if you want.
Please be aware that the size of the download (all 10 files) is 1.8 gigabytes and the size of all the files extracted is 3.3 gigabytes.

Note: I removed the dynmap tiles (5.6GB) to reduce the size of the download. If you wish to regenerate them, run the server and execute the following commands:

  • dynmap fullrender world
  • dynmap fullrender world_nether
  • dynmap fullrender world_the_end
  • dynmap fullrender creative
  • dynmap fullrender creative_nether
  • dynmap fullrender creative_the_end

This will take a while to regenerate the tiles and may cause some lag. When it's finished you should have 5.6GB of dynmap tiles in plugins\dynmap\web\tiles\

Have fun hopefully.

Bye

P.S., if you host MineCore again and you want to continue on this site and use it for the server website, email me at minecraft1415926@gmail.com and tell me why you want to use it as the website. I can add you as an author if you choose to do so. Be sure to include your email address when you contact me.

Probably The Last Post Ever

This is probably the last post you will ever see on the MineCore website. The server will not return unless the forum becomes more active by December 31st 2013. If there is enough server activity by then to make the server worth hosting again, then MineCore will return. If this fails to happen, MineCore will not return. The world and server files will be made available for download. It will be placed in the public domain if this happens, meaning that you can (if you want) choose to continue MineCore on your own as  your own server. ~Mine never wanted the end to be this way but paying the price of DDoS attack possibilityes, possibilities of getting hacked, some in-game lag when he plays Minecraft while the server is running, and a slow internet that happens sometimes is no longer worth it. He would be very willing to pay this price if MineCore was worth hosting. The return or fate of MineCore depends on, not ~Mine, but everyone (if any) who come back to see this site. Will MineCore return by December 31st 2013, or will it fail to do so and be placed in the public domain?
